- What is Typeview?
-
- TypeView displays a text sample of your choice with any of your
- currently installed fonts, formatted as roman, italic, bold and
- bolditalic. Your text sample may have multiple lines of text. This
- way you can very easily judge the apearance of your fonts.
-
- TypeView can also display a complete character set of the currently
- selected font. It also prints a list of all fonts available to your
- printer.
-
- TypeView works best in conjunction with Adobe Type Manager. You can
- call the ATM control panel from within TypeView. You can also invoke
- the Windows control panel to set up your printer.
-
- TypeView is in no way crippled. You can use it and distribute it
- without charge. Just send me a postcard. See 'License'for details.
-
-
- Installation
-
- Copy TYPEVIEW.EXE to your Windows directory and install it with program
- manager. You will also need the VBRUN100.DLL runtime library somewhere
- on your DOS path. You will find this library on every Win*Net BBS.
-
-
- License
-
- You may copy or distribute TypeView as long as you do not charge
- anything for it - I strongly encourage you to do so.
-
- There is one thing I wolud like you to do. If you like this program
- and continue to use it, please send a postcard to my adress:
-
- Volker Weber
- Kahlertstr. 32
- 6100 Darmstadt
- Germany
-
- If you like to donate any money, please feel free to do that as well.
- By sending me your postcard you will implicitly acquire a lifetime
- license to use this program. This seems a reasonable price to me. I
- am very much looking forward to receiving cards from all over the
- world. Thank you.
-
-
- Waranty
-
- This program takes up valuable space on your precious, although not
- very much. That's all. No other waranties implied or expressed.
-
-
- Further development
-
- There are many possible enhancements to this program. Nevertheless I
- probably will not do them. If I get into my programming mood again I
- most certainly will do something completely new.
-
-
- Have fun with this little program
